BIOGRAPHY

Originally from the midwest, Brittnay Therese Dawson is a creative director and filmmaker with over 20 years of experience in the media industry. Most widely recognized for her recurring journalism role on News Channel Nebraska, Brittnay has experience captivating audiences both in front and behind the camera.

Brittnay is the executive producer and director of the feature documentary film, “Behind the Boom,” an official selection for the 2023 Omaha Film Festival, and has produced various film, podcast, and creative projects for clients all across the country.

Currently based out of Boca Raton, Brittnay is available to partner with brands in South Florida to elevate their marketing and media strategy. She is known for her signature style of producing cinematic and editorial content that is emotion-driven and focused to help her clients stand out in a highly-saturated digital market.

Early Influence

Brittnay discovered an early talent for narrative storytelling at age 16, when she saved enough money to purchase her first video camera and started making short films, along with photography projects.

Her “creative aha” moment followed two years later at her high school baccalaureate where she presented a personal essay and received a powerful standing ovation to a full auditorium. She recognized her gift for evoking strong emotional connection to others through meaningful storytelling.

Brittnay graduated UNL with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with studies in Public Relations and Communications, and launched her first media business shortly after.
